"Οι γνωστοί της τη φωνάζαν Έφη" | Mυρτώ Μπόμπολη

"Ένα ταξίδι σε τόπους αλλοτινούς, μυθικούς. Μια ακροβασία ανάμεσα στο φαντασιακό και το πραγματικό. Μια γυναίκα με ασταθή, αβέβαιη ψυχική κατάσταση αναπολεί στιγμές από τη ζωή της…"

Το έργο εστιάζει στον ψυχισμό που διαπερνά το ανθρώπινο σώμα και στο πως η κάθε μεταβολή στην ψυχική κατάσταση επηρεάζει ή συνδέεται με τον ερωτισμό, τη σεξουαλική διάθεση, την επιθυμία.

Μνήμη και φαντασία, εμπειρία και επινόηση, συγχωνεύονται σε ένα τοπίο, όπου το σώμα γίνεται ο κυρίως αφηγητής. Πώς ο χορός, ως σωματική γλώσσα, μπορεί να εκφράσει αυτές τις εναλλαγές, αυτές τις ρωγμές;

Το έργο διεγείρει προβληματισμούς γύρω από τη φύση του χορού και των διαφόρων χορευτικών ειδών, ανοίγοντας τη συζήτηση για τα όρια μεταξύ χορού, θεάτρου και περφόρμανς. Τι νέο εισάγει το στοιχείο του λόγου και πώς μπορεί να εμπλουτίσει το νόημα ενός έργου;

Η σύζευξη αντιθέσεων πρωταγωνιστεί στη δομή, καθώς σώμα - χώρος, μουσική - σιωπή, χορός - ακινησία, ανατρέπονται και μεταβαίνουν διαρκώς σε αντιφατικές καταστάσεις. Επιτυγχάνεται η σύνθεση μέσω ρήξης;

Το έργο αποτελεί μια κατασκευή φανταστικών και πραγματικών πλασμάτων, τα οποία αντλούν ζωή από το σώμα του χορευτή, σώμα σημαίνον και μια διαφορετική σεξουαλικότητα.

"THEY USED TO CALL HER EFFIE"

"A journey through places of the past and of myth. A tightrope walk between the imaginary and the real. A woman with an unstable, uncertain mental state recalls moments from her life…"

The work focuses on the psyche that penetrates a human body, and how each shift in mental state affects eroticism, sexuality and desire.

Memory and imagination, experience and invention merge into a landscape, where the body becomes the main narrator. How can dance, as a bodily language, express these fluctuations, these fractures?

The piece stimulates reflections on the nature of dance, opening up a conversation about the boundaries between dance, theater, and performance. What is the meaning of speech when it is integrated into a choreographic composition? Can it enrich the meaning of the work, or give it a new dimension?

The fusion of opposites is a structural element, as body–space, music–silence, dance–stillness are constantly transitioning into contradictory states. Can there be synthesis through rupture?

This work is a construction of imaginary and real creatures, drawing life from the dancer's body, a body that signifies - or perhaps is signified? - different kinds of sexuality.
